IIHS evaluated the Chevrolet Camaro back in 2016, with mostly good results. The Camaro’s one acceptable rating was in the roof strength evaluation, in which it only withstood 3.7 times its own weight before crushing 5 inches (a good rating called for a ratio of 4.0 or more).
The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro earned good ratings in the 40-mph driver-side small overlap, 31-mph original side, and 40-mph original moderate overlap crash tests. It earned an acceptable rating for roof strength.
