The Korea Film Archive releases the KOFA Cinema with Commentary, an audio commentary content for Korean classical films. The second film that Jung Sung-il explains is ‘Piagol'(Lee Kang-cheon, 1955). In the commentary, Jung Sung-il says that the genre of ‘Piagol’ needs to be highlighted as a war film and a horror film, unlike what has widely known as an anti-communism film. He also emphasizes that director uses minimalist sounds and day-for-night shooting style by fully accepting the limitations of location.
